How to crochet an Ice Cream

(아이스크림/ アイスクリーム/ 冰淇淋) 

Hello dear,

This is a cute ice cream pattern designed by @我们汤猪猪 that I have translated. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Material

Yarn: Depend on your choice, I used 2mm acrylic yarn for the corn and  6mm chenile yarn for the ice cream

Hook: Size 2mm & 5mm

Needle for sewing, scissors, markers

Abbreviations (US Crochet Terms):

  • R – round
  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • st / sts – stitch / stitches
  • inc – increase (crochet 2 stitches in one stitch)
  • dec – decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)
  • sl st – slip stitch
  • rep – repeat
  • (…) – number of stitches of each round/row

Pattern

Corn (2mm yarn and 2mm hook)

R1: MG sc 6, sl st into the first sc (6)

R2: (sc1, sc inc) rep 3 times, sl st (9)

R3: sc 9, sl st (9)

R4: (sc 2, inc ) rep 3 times, sl st (12)

R5: sc 12, sl st (12)

R6: (sc 3, inc ) rep 3 times, sl st (15)

R7: sc 15, sl st (15) 

Fasten off. Weave and hide the yarn tail through the piece several times.

Stuffing.




Ice Cream ( 2  strands of 6mm yarn + 6 mm hook)

R1: MG sc 6, sl st into the first sc (6)

R2: sc inc 6, sl st (12)

R3: sc 12, sl st (12) 

R4: sc dec 6, sl st (6)

Stuffing => Fasten off. Using your yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each stitch and pull it tight to close. Weave and hide the yarn tail through the piece several times.
