How to crochet Bow Charm - 3 styles

Hello dear,

A bow is perfect as a hair accessory, as decor for a bigger project, or as a charm on its own. Here are 3 ways to crochet a bow that I have collected and translated. Hope you guys enjoy it !

Material

Yarn: Depend on your choice, I used 2mm acrylic yarn

Hook: Size 2mm

Needle for sewing, scissors, markers

Abbreviations (US Crochet Terms):

• R – round
• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• hdc – half double crochet
• dc – double crochet
• tr - treble crochet/ triple crochet stitches 
• st / sts – stitch / stitches
• inc – increase (crochet 2 stitches in one stitch)
• dec – decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)
• 3 dc inc - crochet 3 double stitches in one stitch
• sl st – slip stitch
• BLO – back loops only
• rep – repeat
• (…) – number of stitches of each round/row
• {…} – work the stitches all into the same stitch

Type 1: Pattern design unknown

Pattern

R1: 63ch, work from the 4th back bump

R2: tr 2, dc 2, hdc 2, sc 2, sl st 2,

       sc, hdc2, dc 3,

       3 dc inc (crochet 3 double stitches in one stitch), dc 5, 3 dc inc,

       dc 3, hdc 2, sc, sl st 2,

       sc, hdc2, dc 3,

       3 dc inc (crochet 3 double stitches in one stitch), dc 5, 3 dc inc,

        dc 3, hdc 2, sc, sl st 2,

        sc 2, hdc2, dc 2, tr 2

       ch 3, sl st into the opposite chain ( so now, it looks the same as the starting part)

Fasten off. Weave and hide the yarn tail through the piece several times.

Wrap yarn in the middle, tie the knot at behind

Type 2: Pattern design by 木子手作

Pattern:

Bow main body:

R1: ch63, work from 2th chain, 

       hdc 6, sl st 6, 

       hdc 16, sl st 6, hdc 16, 

       sl st 6, hdc 6

R2-4: ch2, work into the FLO from now on 

          hdc 6, sl st 6, 

          hdc 16, sl st 6, hdc 16, 

          sl st 6, hdc 6

Fasten off. Weave and hide the yarn tail through the piece several times.

Middle tie

ch 10, work from 2th chain, hdc 9

Fasten off, leave a long tail, sew it at behind of the bow.

Type 3: pattern design by 小红帽手作

Pattern:

R1: ch32, work into 2th back bump

R2: sl st, hdc, dc 2, tr 2, dc2, hdc, 

       sl st 13, 

       hdc, dc 2, tr 2, dc2, hdc, sl st,

       Now crochet into other side of the chain

       ch, sl st, hdc, dc 2, tr 2, dc2, hdc, 

       sl st 13,

       hdc, dc 2, tr 2, dc2, hdc, sl st,

Fasten off. Weave and hide the yarn tail through the piece several times.

Tie the bow.
